What changes when I convert an image to JPG?
JPG uses lossy compression and has no transparency. Original pixel dimensions are kept unless you choose smaller maximum dimensions. Transparent areas become white or your chosen background. Source metadata, including location, is removed; orientation is applied and output uses sRGB. HEIC output is 8-bit and may change HDR or wide-gamut appearance. Review the actual JPG before downloading. A file-size target can lower quality but never silently resizes; if the target cannot be met, the valid result remains available.
Keep your original file and review the output. If processing fails, check the format and limits, then try a smaller supported file. Read the processing and privacy details.
How to use Convert to JPG
- Choose PNG, JPEG, static WebP, AVIF or supported single-image HEIC files. Drop or paste images, or try the sample. Your images stay on your device.
- Choose smaller file, balanced or higher quality. Pick a solid background for transparent areas. Keep original dimensions or set optional maximum dimensions and file size.
- Apply settings to the whole batch or one image. Preview the actual JPG, compare it with the original and inspect the JPG at 100% before downloading.
- Convert your batch and download individual JPGs or a ZIP. Completed images stay available if a file fails or you cancel; retry only the files that need it.
