Who builds PDF Logic
PDF Logic is built and operated by Appzotech Enterprises Pvt Ltd (opens in a new tab), a software company founded in 2020 and based in Delhi, India. Appzotech designs and runs the tools, publishes the guides and is responsible for everything on this site.
Guides are written by the PDF Logic team at Appzotech and carry that byline. Our editorial policy explains how they are written and checked.

Why it exists
Most PDF jobs are small. You need to join two files, shrink a scan so it fits an upload limit, turn a statement into a spreadsheet, or sign a form and send it back. Jobs like these should not need a software license, an account or a trial that runs out. PDF Logic exists so you can finish them in a browser in a minute or two.
The guides exist for the same reason. Knowing why a scanned PDF is so large, or why a table falls apart in Word, saves more time than any button, so we explain the cause as well as the steps.
How it works
PDF Logic has 46 tools. Nearly all of them work in one of two ways, and every tool page tells you which before you choose a file.
In your browser
The tool runs on your own device. Your browser opens the file without uploading it, which makes these tools the right choice for documents that must not leave your computer. Merge PDF, Split PDF, Organize PDF and Compress images work this way. Your browser saves these tools as you open them, so one you have opened before keeps working without an internet connection.

On our server
Some jobs need software a browser cannot run, such as the engine that converts Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. Your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed and sent back. We delete the uploaded copy and the result when the job finishes, including when it fails. Compress PDF, PDF to Word, Word to PDF and Protect PDF work this way.
Scan to PDF and OCR PDF use both: text recognition runs in your browser, and the pages are uploaded only to build the finished PDF.
If your device cannot finish a very large job, Merge PDF, Crop PDF, Watermark, Sign PDF and JPG to PDF offer to run it on our server instead. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose that.
The privacy policy covers what is and is not recorded when you use a tool.
How it is funded
PDF Logic is free to use. Appzotech pays for the servers and the work that goes into the tools.

PDF Logic does not show ads at the moment. We may introduce advertising on guide pages to help cover costs. If we do, every ad will be clearly labeled and none will appear on a tool’s workspace or next to upload and download buttons. How advertising works on PDF Logic.
What we are working on
- Guides that explain why. We are rewriting the guides so each one covers the cause of a problem as well as the fix, and checking every step against the tools as they work today.
- One consistent design. The tools were built one at a time. We are bringing them to the same layout, controls and wording, so that once you have used one you know your way around the rest.
- Better conversions. Moving between PDF and Word, Excel or PowerPoint is the hardest thing these tools do, because a PDF records where text sits on a page rather than paragraphs or table cells. Improving how tables, columns and fonts come through is ongoing work.
